I'd give them the 3rd, Avery, Flowers, Daniel, Bray **** it send the whole ****ing gift basket of turds down to them for AJ. Throw in Joe Mays too they can have him back

Sorry, if we traded Flowers for Johnson, there's no way in hell a pick any higher than a 4th should be included.

And, with Johnson having 2, 3 years left of elite production, if that, a 4th might be too much, especially considering the team building strategy of this franchise at this point in time.

It sure as hell seems like it.

last year's and this year's offseason seem contradictory

The most likely reason for the different offseason philosophies is that Hunt/Reid/Dorsey decided that they needed to stop the bleeding first and then started the normal process of building the team.

The why they needed the boost is unknown.

A boost would calm the fans and probably help bring in free agents. A Boost would also increase the confidence of the existing players on the team.

I guess i understand the concept of boost and then build but it's still frustrating as hell. It means we have no real intent on winning this year or next, maybe not even the year after that.
