The book was far better than the miniseriese. Let's hope the movie does it some justice.

Not really scary, but I enjoyed JoyLand, and The Stand is an exquisite masterpiece.

'Salem's Lot is one of my favorite books of all time. To bad the movie sucked total goat balls. Would love to see it remade now.

The Stand was really good. Real good TV miniseries that came of it too. Gary Sinise was terrific in it.

My son was terrified of clowns after he saw the movie when he was a little nipper. Anything King is fine with me. I just finished reading the Gunslinger series( read the books when they came out, but now have read them consecutively). At least he apologized for the ending in the final book

Don't invite me to your fancy dinner party, serve me a delicious meal with wine, good entertainment and conversation, only to walk in on you while retrieving my coat from the other Room and find you banging my wife. It too makes for a terrible ending, and an apology means as much.

Ya, I'm being tongue in cheek, but as an acclaimed author, King, has been guilty far too often of limping across the finish line. People hate being jerked around and not getting their "happy ending".

I am fine with a remake if 2 things are done. Get it close to rated r. And new ending.

Misery had a kickass ending, even better than the movie, which was also very solid. The Dark Half's ending, while weird, was pretty good as well.

King is definitely more about the journey than the destination when it comes to his endings. The Stand is a great example of that. An extremely meh ending but everything else is just amazing.

I dunno... The ending to The Stand was ok. I guess one thing that did piss me off about it was when "the hand of god" ignited the nuke. The whole ****ing novel was all about what choices people make, god totally stayed out of it.
It shouldn't have been that way. However, the ending where Stu and Tom made their way back was pretty cool.

IT ended in kind of a cool way IMHO. I thought it really took some imagination and took the reader on a journey.
