Life Print Framing?

Anybody know of a good place to have an art print framed in Kansas City?
Reasonable pricing preferred.

I need to have a print "floated".

I had something “matted”, or whatever the term is, at Hobby Lobby. They were about half the price of any framing store, and got it done in half the time.

Hobby Lobby is where my wife goes for matting everything as well.

The artist who gave me this piece suggested I have it "floated" instead of "matted".

Is “floating” where the glass is raised off the piece? I've only seen that done for chalk pieces.

floating is when the piece is mounted on foamcore so it hangs in front of the mat behind. The piece does not touch the glass.

I would think Michaels or Hobby Lobby could provide this. It would be custom framing, and both run 50% off sales every few weeks.

I had Michaels do a crappy job for me once. The picture was rippled under the glass. But, you know, it was just one person. We had something done at a place called The Great Frame Up in Olathe. Near 135th. There's a Hen House. They did a good job, but I don't recall how cheap they were.

I've used Central Park Gallery in the River Market. It was a bit spendy but the work is top notch.
