Sad.

Since you put it that way, it sounds like we would have had an epic meltdown... complete with Clay videos and everything.

I'd love to see The Rock have some kind of input to the Chiefs, just not as a HC. Crap, I'd love to see Messers Cherry, Dawson, Waters, Arbanas, Budde, and Lanier come in as well. Those guys were real Chiefs, on and off the field.

Got to meet Kevin Ross, he was good friends with DT. Great guy. I was really surprised he wasn't taller than 5'9. mainly because the way he hit. You know you hit hard when they call you the rock.

This would be very cool. Developing players is going to be critical this year with our picks, especially our #1 overall QB.

The team has to be aggressive in getting someone to develop the new QB. A former QB would be great. Someone who was an all pro would be better.

Last thing we need is a guy turning into an Akili Smith, or even a Cam Newton.

Although this team HAS to understand that even IF it doesn't work out, just draft another one early, keep trying until you have a franchise guy. Don't wait 30freaking years.

I'm sick of good offenses and bad defenses, good defenses and bad offenses, bad offenses and bad defenses or, if I think back far enough, good offenses and good defenses but with a coach who was so scared of his shadow he didn't trust it.
You just described a soon to be fired HC at Philly.

Yeah but he has Nick in his corner. That counts for something.

I just did a little fact checking on your post and everything you stated seems true.

But I admit I don't know every famous person in the world, and have them over for steak and lobster on a regular basis, so superficialities like facts may not apply in this case.

It's amazing how good QB's can turn HC's into "Gurus" huh?

Get a QB.

Everything else will fall into place.

I LOVE Kevin Ross. This is the kind of guy we need on our coaching staff.
Other former Chiefs that would make great assistant coaches would be: James Hasty, Mike Maslowski, Greg Manusky, Marcus Allen, Tim Grunhard and Dan Saleamua.

I never understood why baseball teams bring back their old players as consultants in spring training and football teams don't. It would make sense to me that you would have extra coaches on the field to give more one on one attention to the players that need it.
