Anyone Good With Numbers?

I need to do a cost analysis/benefit breakdown of every item I purchase for the company.

For instance, how many tablespoons can you get out of 54 grams (1.92 ounces)???

If you can figure this out, and give me the answer- I'd appreciate it.

(I will consider paying someone on the Planet to do a bunch of items for me, should someone be interested. Answer the above correctly and you could be in for a little extra money).

I thought the Chiefs were big in Japan during the 90's? Particularly when we had Montana at the helm.

Surely there are calculators that can do this type of thing.

By the way, I find it a bit pathetic that you're asking BB members to do your job for you.

Well a table spoon is a measurement of volume while grams are a measurement of mass. What that means is your answer depends on the density of the material.

In other words, "how many grams fit in 1 tablespoon?"

Doesn't seem like much. How'd you come up with that number?

It depends on what you're measuring. Generally in cooking, 1 TBS = 15 grams, but if you're measuring lead, it would be more grams.

Precisely, in this case- I'm looking for the amount of tablespoons in a 1.92 ounce bottle of ground spice/seasoning.

Obviously there is something going on here that I do not understand. I assume "Dry measure" is some kind of industry standard material density.

Tablespoon is a volume measurement, while grams is a mass measurement. You need to know the substance being measured to do this conversion, and know its density. If it is a powder, you need to know its bulk density as opposed to the particle desity. Also the bulk desity can vary significantly depending on how tightly the powder is packed in.
