Gun Control

We have all heard about what happened in Aurora, Co, and I think that Gun Control is going to be a huge topic in the following months.

What measures need to be taken? Do you have any ideas that will help prevent this kind of thing from happening again as it pertains to guns?

Legal gun owners wouldn't be bothered by what he proposed in the least.

Crazy people willing to commit a massacre aren't going to be deterred by anything, by your reasoning we should have no laws at all then.

Anybody can go to your site and read our conversation. We debated all morning with no threat and there has never been one. You suddenly ban me out of the blue because you were looking like the idiot you are

Yes I do have a problem with the current regs, just think back when you could order a full-auto firearm from a Sears catalog and have it delivered to your door, no schools were getting shot up either.

Much as you seek to remove firearms from the hands of every American, I seek to arm every American.

Legal gun owners wouldn't be bothered?

Who do you think would be paying for your proposed regulations and updating of the background database?

You're right that crazy people willing to commit a massacre aren't going to be deterred by anything. But my reasoning doesn't lead to suggesting we have no laws at all. I'm saying we shouldn't have ineffective laws that do nothing except quell the irrational fears of the populace.

Do you think because we have freedom of speech in the bill of rights, that allows you to say or write whatever you want?

How is this going to stop people want to kill in the manner we saw in Connecticut and Colorado, etc?

Where do you get that I want to remove guns from every American? You say that a lot, and it seems like a strong fear you have that someone is coming for you guns.

I can't find anyone on here that has said, get rid of everyones guns.

Arming the country wouldn't work. Suddenly, the responsible, and the irresponsible would be armed. I know you and others disagree, but that would maybe make someone think twice about breaking into a house, but it would also result it a lot more accidental deaths, and mere fights turning into shootouts.
