Peters Suspended

One game. Per Andy.

Summary from Andy (paraphrase) : Best for organization. Talked to Peters. Difficult to do as I like Peters.

Jerry would be the guy to give up a 1st rounder for him. I watched his 'A Football Life' a couple of weeks ago... that guy might make a deal with the devil to win one more Super Bowl in his lifetime. He isn't going to worry a whole lot about the long term future with any of his moves, I don't believe.

Based purely on the game reviews I've done this year, the pass rush isn't near the problem the secondary is right now. Jones and Houston both win their one-on-one's the vast majority of the time. Need a consistent answer on the other edge though, hopefully already on the roster.

I just don't know if it's coaching, talent, or both. All I know is receivers get open and QBs are finding them very quickly.

I would gladly take their 1st this year. No doubt in my mind.

He actually said something along the lines of, 'I would do things that people wouldn't look at me the same for to see the Cowboys win one more Super Bowl..' Maybe not those exact words, but that was the essential point.

And given their quality of CB play the last several years... I wouldn't be shocked a bit if they were willing to give a 1st.

His behavior has shown that he can be a "Me First" player. He got plenty of criticism for it. He responded to the coaches and has gotten better since the beginning of the season. He's had 4 penalties this year. 3 in the first 3 weeks (2 taunting & 1 holding) and 1 (false start) in the 12th week. Great improvement.

And he's producing on the field. #1 TE in football. (By far.) It appears he's also taken the Crash Davis correspondence course on media relations and is now saying the right things. So good on him. The reality show was probably a bad move for his state of mind, but he seems to be recovering from it.

I'm waiting for someone in the media to make it a race issue because Kelcee wasn't suspended.

You know it's inevitable...

He's also the only reason Alex Smith hasn't sucked complete dick in KC.

He's like a cheat code for Alex. Dump it off on countless 3-yard routes and pick up 20.

He's the best TE in football and he's going to be even better with a real QB.

The franchise cannot afford to babysit this malcontent any longer. In the short term he might find some success elsewhere, but he will always revert to being selfish and play the victim as he always does. Players like these destroy locker rooms and tear apart team cohesion. If I am the Chiefs, I dump him this off-season for whatever I can get as you want a solid locker room bringing in a new face of the franchise.
Keeping Peters here when he doesn’t want to be here will just be a negative distraction and turmoil for the foreseeable future.
This is what I have been trying to say for quite a while.

Give me 11 guys pulling the same direction over a whole bunch of super talented self absorbed assholes.

I am on the trade Peter's bandwagon. We need a big second or a first. I just didn't see him staying a Chief. He's a good rat from Oakland of the Lynch mold and will go home eventually anyway.
