Football Revis has torn ACL

Revis underwent an MRI exam Monday morning, confirming the team's worst fears. Their All-Pro was hurt in the third quarter of Sunday's overtime win over the Miami Dolphins, a non-contact injury that occurred when he was trying to tackle running back Daniel Thomas on a screen pass.

It's a crushing blow to the Jets' defense, which already is off to a slow start. They're ranked 21st in yards allowed.

If Revis has accepted Tebow into his heart, he should be ready this week.

Otherwise, Tebow will be at corner this week.

It's too bad for Revis but it's also what is really great about the NFL imo. It's a war of attrition and I love that. The deepest teams usually win. Most people think it's bad when the stars get hurt. In my opinion, it makes it more interesting. People forget that it's a "team" sport.

Sometimes? Rod Woodson tore his ACL and he came back. He moved back to safety late in his career and Revis probably will to. I bet Revis will be OK and play CB for a few more years.

Yeah, I gotta agree with that. The game is the most fun to watch when the talent level is as high as possible. Losing good players to injury sucks.

I thought it was pretty cool when the pack won the Superbowl after losing Barnett and Finley during the season and Woodson and Driver during the game...

That's what it's about imo.
