My Football World is Normal Again

Now that the Wild Card weekend has concluded, I feel normal when thinking about the Chiefs. Had we made the playoffs, we'd be out. So now all I have to endure is the usual jealousy watching other teams win the Super Bowl and the usual wait for next season...

The more things change, the more they remain the same.

Today was a great day to rake leaves. I would have raked more angrily had we been playing today.

How many times have the Chiefs made the playoffs in the last 10 years?

3?

The reality is that the playoff appearences in the 90s were the aberration.

We are now back to the norm.

Yep. Sadly it's been pretty easy to accept too. What's not easy is how we got here again.

Houston is getting stronger too.

They actually win games when they get there. I don't think Denver has won one this decade, the Chiefs haven't in almost a generation. So far San Diego has underachieved.

Now the Bolts are where they're supposed to be. No big deal if they lose to Indy - they're supposed too.

I was too lazy to lookup Texans final record 8-8.....

though NFC East is very strong as well.
Dallas
NYG
Washington

Philly underachieved but managed 8-8.

just reminds how far AFCW gone down.

Uh, yeah, I'm pretty sure the Raiders had to win a few playoff games this century to get to the Super Bowl.

NFC East -- they've been sending three teams to the playoffs more years than not.

They are making it, playing in the NFC though. Granted, the NFC has pretty much caught up, but it just happened.

I think they are second.
