No, that stat is true. You added another level of information, but that doesn't disprove the stat nor does it undermine the truth of what I said.

There is no easy way to measure that stuff....therefore they just ignore it. Stats like this are meaningless sometimes.

Charles had some bad games that weren't really his fault at all.

PFF definitely ****ed this one up.

he definitely wasn't 2010 Charles good on a better team against a shittier schedule with a more confident QB where they were competitive in most games

but in 2012 when you fall down by 3 scores in 2 quarters you kind of lose a little desire/steer away from the game plan a bit

but hey...PFF is willing to hire guys like Direkshun to scout games so honestly...they aren't exactly some sort of "science"

It's true. But like I said, you can do that for literally ANY player in the league.

PFF took 19(.07%) of Charles' 285 carries. If I did the same for Adrian Peterson, I'd get 852 yards on 23 carries. That means for the rest of his carries, Adrian Peterson only averaged 3.8 yards per carry. Below average.

Or are you going to say Adrian Peterson was boom or bust also?

It's a stupid stat no matter how true it is. You take the the longest runs from any running back and their average will drop dramatically. What's next? Take the longest 20 passes from quarterbacks to figure out their yards per attempt? Alex Smith would average like 2 yards then.

I don't watch enough of Adrian Peterson to know how he gets his yards, but my impression of him is that he's more consistent.

I'm not saying JC is bad or that I'd rather have someone else (I'd probably take AP over him, but I can't think of too many others). I'm just saying that he has a lot of non-productive runs mixed in with his 10 yard and 90 yard bursts. And a lot of his bursts in some games came when the Chiefs would run on a passing down like 2nd and long. It would have been fine if Peyton Hillis or Thomas Jones were able to be the dependable 3 yard guy you could count on, but they were all the bust without the boom.

if a running back got 4 yards every carry every time; no more or no less

his team would never lose

what a dumb ****ing reason to not rank a player above Blair ****ing Walsh

I already addressed this.

Charles is EXTREMELY consistent. One of the top 3 most consistent running backs in the league.

I wouldn't worry too much about this list. No Arian Foster is a much bigger argument than Charles. Even Ridley and Chris Johnson have a complaint.

2. Adrian Peterson, RB, Minnesota Vikings
18. C.J. Spiller, RB, Buffalo Bills
38. Alfred Morris, RB, Washington Redskins
40. Marshawn Lynch, RB, Seattle Seahawks
71. Frank Gore, RB, San Francisco 49ers
88. Doug Martin, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
92. Ray Rice, RB, Baltimore Ravens

I figured Alfred Morris was their glory back.

anyone who rates that dude over JamChar in ANY METRIC is just a flat out moron.

so anyone who quotes PFF when they talk about RB's, ever, is dumb.
