You're right, the trade didn't make sense. I didn't like giving up Haren from day one of that trade. However, if you listen to McCarver on a consistent basis, he picks out the team he wants to win and glorifies them throughout the broadcast, just like Packer does. If they were on a regional broadcast for that team, no problem. But not on a national broadcast.

If they really are "playing to win" like this is supposed to be deciding home field advantage and all...Soria should be out there tonight because nobody has been better then him this year. He deserves it.

The only time we'll see Soria all night is that shot of him sitting next to Mariano Rivera in the AL bullpen.

He's a speed bump as far as Francona is concerned.

Too bad, kid deserves to pitch. Maybe AL can tie this up and get it to extra innings. That's his only chance.

Why do they even try to win?? Does anybody really think a player goes up to the plate thinking: "Man, ive got to smack this homer so my league can get home field for the World Series!"
