So Im (finally) having knee surgery tomorrow.
I tore my ACL and Miniscus on Oct 4th. I was suppose to have surgery Dec 20th but sickness interfered. Then it got cancelled 2 more times due to illness (This cold and flu season have been brutal). Its now upon me, and Im still dodging sick people and totally stressed. Scared as hell too. Not so much of the surgery (altho, thats scary too), but the aftermath. Im not big on pain pills, and I never taken one. Hoping I can power thru it without taking drugs of the narcotic type.

I have an ice machine ready, and lots of PT schyeduled. Any other tips for recovery and pain management?

I can imagine the feedback you're getting from doing a live show from your bedroom, lol.

And good job making an effort to stay away from the pain meds. Not exactly the easiest thing to do in your situation.

Thanks. The reaction to the broadcast so far as been extremely positive. The rock stars dig it, the advertisers dig it and the listeners are all over it. The imaging is pretty funny as well.

I got the nerve block and it numbed my leg for 30 hours so I think tha helped my quest for no pain meds. I've done so much better than I thought I would. Thank god

Don't need them thankfully. They did shoot me p with morphine after surgery. Fuccking hated it!!!
