@Dave_Matter: Late in the game Missouri also had Gregg Marshall & Mike White on the radar. Ben Howland was eliminated by that point.

@Dave_Matter: Howland was in larger pool of candidates Missouri looked at (around 10) but didn't make cut much beyond then.

@Dave_Matter: Howland baggage from UCLA demise knocked him out of the final pool.

So there ya go...a hire based on image. Alden wanted the squeaky clean over winning...

I really don't think that's the case these days. Much more pressure from Loftin, at least initially. Hopefully, Loftin sticks to his guns and holds him accountable.

Missouri had a pool of ten candidates and Kim Anderson was chosen. Explain to me how that works unless the other nine were Dave Bliss.

Probably. Hes done something more important than win a championship. Hes made the University alot of money.

Dave Matter is full of shit. I believe they touched base with other candidates. I also believe, based on the salary 1.1 w/incentives that all other candidates laughed the search firm out the door.

There's no way the 1.1 million figure would have been offered to anyone but Anderson, right? It's based on Anderson's salary at UCM, or so it appears to this contractual neophyte.
