BUT, it's MORE than good enough for us to be good on offense if the QB doesn't suck.

While yes, Roaf and Shields were HOF caliber, I was emphasizing that this line still can get better than Vermeil's O-line because this line is incredibly young.

Asamoah is 24. Albert is 27, Winston is 28, Hudson is 23, and Lilja is 30. And I agree with Dane that once Allan becomes starter (replacing Lilja), I think with this O-line being together for years, and luck has it them staying healthy for the majority of their careers, they will possibly be the best line in KC.

We're gonna be 8-8.

Best team my ass.

They won't come close to 03.

If they get EXTREMELY lucky they may be close to the 05 team.

(I've been here since '02, BTW)

Personally, I have to agree with both. No chance Cassel becomes Trent Green 2.0 IMO. However, this team doesn't need Trent to be 10-6 or better this year. This is as complete as a roster as I have seen in a few years. Clay is just staying pessimistic because of his bet. I guarantee that if this team performs well in the playoffs or manages to win there, Clay will be going nuts.

Yes, and ignoring the impact QB and HC have on a team is rather foolish.

BTW, I've been negative ever since Romeo got the HC gig and we didn't re-sign Orton, so don't act like I'm being negative just to be negative.

Yeah, Romeo hasn't had his team prepared each week. He sucks because he sucked in Cleveland, the land of six NFL Super Bowl titles.

JFC, Dude. Stop before you further embarrass yourself.

And if our passing game is ranked in the 20's again, guess what this team is.

Yahtzee!

As for ignoring the HC, Romeo did produce the best looking preseason Chiefs we've seen since DV. Preseason means **** all, but it was a big difference from the Haley/Herm/Gunther years.

In regards to QB, yup. Cassel is below average. Only hopes are that A) Cassel gets above average, B) Our backups turnout to be above average, C) We trade for an upgrade, or D) We draft an upgrade. As it stands, options A & B are the only ones in play at the moment.

Don't be fooled too much Dane. We will be a damned good all around football team with out major weakness at QB, but the Cardinals look like hell. Also, notice Cassel only throws 2 balls 6 yards past the LOS. Dex and Charles do a good job helping Cassel's stat line. Also, the pass to Baldwin never makes the box score b/c of penalty. Good pass though, maybe just a bad decision to force it.

Also, the pass to McCluster is wide open, back bites hard and Dex helps sell it by pretending his intent is to block until he's able to release.

Hali would **** Roaf up

DJ would tear Tony G a new one

Berry would be shadowing Priest Holmes all day

Meanwhile we would run Charles and Hillis for 850 combined yards and 6 TD's against that defense. That 2003 offense wouldn't see the field hardly at all that day.

2012 Chiefs 42
2003 Chiefs 17

In the AFC championship? Because I'm pretty certain that the 49ers passing O was in the 20's with a weaker offense and a stronger defense. You could argue they offset. This team has enough talent to make it to the AFC championship game. Maturity, coaching, and QB play will determine whether they get there or not. Personally, I feel that they have the first two aspects covered.

Despite it being only one game the team looked well prepared and sharp. Any concerns with romeo generally were about his cleveland teams being slack and unprepared...

I feel sad for some of you.

We're not even gonna win the AFC West. HTF are we supposed to get to the AFCC? Win two road playoff games with Mork Castille?
