Chiefs Early Afternoon Bullshit: Who's planning to attend the playoff game? - Page 10

Granted, nothing is set in stone yet as far as positioning is concerned, but who's thinking of making a trip to see the Wild Card game?

Per cdcox, we're around 96% to end up the 5th seed, and Indy is 88% to finish as the 4th seed. I've already booked a room in both Indy and Cincinnati, just to make sure I'm covered - and to get something booked before prices rise even further.

After doing some research, you can plan on spending a pretty penny in Indy - downtown hotels are obnoxiously expensive - $150 and up for Saturday night. Only way to stay cheap is to stay 6-7 miles away out by the airport and drive in on gameday. Cincinnati is cheaper, but downtown options are pretty limited.

So - who's going?

At this point, the lowest seed if 5th, right? I can't see a scenario where the Chiefs end up with the 6th seed.

EDIT: Nevermind. It involved KC losing out, which obviously can't happen with yesterday's win.

Yeah that's correct. Playoffstatus.com I think was the site I was looking at earlier that's pretty insightful when it comes to this whole playoff mess. It shows all the possible scenarios and the probability of each happening. IIRC, they had us at 11% for the division and 89% for the #5 seed WC, with Indy around 75% as the #4.

According to cdcox's software, we're 88% for the 5 seed, and Indy is 70% for the 4 seed.

New England is at 17% for the 4 seed.

Cincinnati is at 9%.

Baltimore is at 1%.

Miami is under 1%.

Well, I'm 100% going if game is in Indy and 75% going if game is in Cinci. I could make a Saturday game in Cinci, but Sunday would be tough.

If NE slips up and loses the 2 seed, and has to play on Wild Card Weekend, it pretty much guarantees we'll play on Saturday.

CBS will want the Pats on Sunday.

NBC broadcasts both the Saturday games, FOX gets a Sunday NFC game, and CBS gets the AFC Sunday game.

AFC playoffs rest on Baltimore Ravens shoulders basically. They play New England and Cincinnati next two weeks.

I just spoke to Eric w/ the Chiefs and there are no bennies to being a STH for an away playoff game unless you are friends/family of the players. I knew this, but wanted to confirm. Having Poe as a bodyguard has it's privileges, but not enough to get into the game.

Looks like secondary market for tix.....
