Washington is one of the best scoring teams in the NCAA. That will make them dangerous against whoever they play next week. I hope it's not KU in the 2nd round.

Me too. I'm hoping we can sneak in high enough to avoid a 1 seed until the sweet 16. We always get to the sweet 16, just once is love to surpass it. It'll be tough this year, but if they get hot like they look now, anything can happen.

Interesting question - one team is playing a championship game today. This team's stats are:

record: 21-5
RPI: low 30's
SOS: about 150
record vs RPI top 50: 2-3, and playing against a top-50 today
record vs RPI 51-150: 3-1
record vs RPI 151+: 16-1
no great wins, no terrible losses, 3 good wins, 1 bad loss.
last 10 games: 8-2

If this team loses their championship game, their RPI will finish in the low or mid-30's. Should they get an at-large bid?

You're talking about Harvard. They're actually 1-4 vs top 50. The only win being against Princeton. Their SOS is closer to 200 than 150. No they don't deserve an at large birth.

Their SOS is 154, and their RPI is 32. Even Lunardi has begun to idly speculate that they are a dark horse for a surprise at-large. (behind a paywall, cant copy-paste)

By contrast, Alabama has a 78 RPI, 127 SOS, and 4 bad losses but people seem to be thinking long and hard about them.
