Well, he and the receivers seemed to not be on the same page a few times in the 1st half (i.e., Law's first INT). Maybe it was just one of those things. Maybe Gun was mixing things up and confused them.

If Gunther has the ability to scheme Manning into confusion, you guys should care, because it would mean you've got one of the best DCs in the game.

FTR, I think it was a little of both. Manning did have an off day but he did say the KC D was better than years past and presented a tougher challenge in one of his million interviews.
Our local CBS station here in Ky is from the Evansville In market. Which carries the Colts, that question was brought up by a reporter. It wasn't shown on ESPN from what I saw, if it did, I missed it. BTA, I wasn't into watching Manning's 10 K interviews or any for that matter.

No. They had over 200 yards of offense in the first half. They were gashing us for 6-7 yards a pop on the ground.
Manning simply made bad throws. Unusual? Yes. Due to Gunther? Laughable. |

gunthers lack of scheme is what confused him.
Manning kept looking for signs/hints about what the defense was gonna do and couldn't find it because they players couldn't show him what didn't exist.

I think it comes down to two things - we are actually able to get a little pressure on him, and Law owns his ass.

I'd have to disagree with that. I didn't think you got much pressure on Manning until the end of the game. You only had one sack on him, and the guy is pretty much a statue in the pocket. By comparison, Indy registered 4 sacks against you guys.

I think it was funny that Manning was asked "did you tell Ty you would buy him dinner?" Peyton replied "No i told him I think he owes ME a dinner and then some."

Nobody gets much pressure against Indy. We got enough to make him move around and he was even running for his life a couple times. I don't think it was Gunther...this is Herm's scheme and we've got alot more talent than we had the last time we faced Manning.
Starting Page at OLB was a good move, however. We basically ran out the same gameplan we had in St. Louis (that's why there were so many short completions) and it would have worked if the offense hadn't disappeared.

IIRC, Gun had a good 1st half against Manning in 2004, too (granted, at KC). |
