TJ Carpenter is on Petro's show right now.

TJ is saying that basically every person he's talking to at the Combine believes the Chiefs will wait to see who falls to the 2nd round. NOBODY thinks they will take a QB #1 overall.

However, he said that pretty much everybody recognizes that, given the Chiefs' draft record over the past few decades, the fans overwhelmingly want a QB and the Chiefs might have to acknowledge that.

Overall, it's just another disheartening conversation. Gonna take a lineman and see what QBs fall to the 2nd round, no QB is worth it, yada, yada.

Again, we're gonna take the left overs at QB?

I'm pretty sure we are just going to let Albert walk and take Joeckel, just so we dont' have to explain not taking a QB at 1.

It probably doesn't matter to them, but passing on a QB and taking an OL, or even worse a DL isn't going to get Reid and Dorsey off to a very good start with the fans.

Yes, if they win, they'll come back. But it's going to be pretty ugly for a while.

(I was basically the only guy around here wanting to draft Kaepernick and got shit about that. And I like Geno a lot more than Colin.)

But Geno is the absolute shit.

This franchise can go straight to hell if they don't draft him.

I'm generally REALLY skeptical when it comes to QBs. I don't go all in on many guys. There haven't been too many QBs coming out the last few years that I really liked.

DaKCMan AP knew.

I think the Chiefs are gonna shock everybody.

I'm starting to think that, in the absence of Luck and RG3, THIS is the "hook" for this offseason.

"No QB worth it" hammered through every media outlet on Earth for 5 months and then boom - the Chiefs pick Geno and it's a feel good story about how the Chiefs defied their own history and Geno overcame all the criticism to become the #1 overall pick.

I dunno.

It seems there's just too much smoke about us not taking a Qb.

I put no stock into T.J. Carpenter reports. Just saying he's a goof. He continually gets corrected on his info. Everyone he's talked to, probably means the janitorial crew.
