2013 NFL Draft: Dion Jordan will visit the Kansas City Chiefs

http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2013/3...as-city-chiefs

Andy Reid, John Dorsey and the Kansas City Chiefs defensive coaches descended on Oregon last week where the Ducks help their pro day. Of interest was Dion Jordan, the defensive end / outside linebacker, who is considered one of the top prospects in the 2013 NFL Draft. Now there's this from Tony Pauline:

I'm assuming this is a separate visit to the Chiefs facilities, and not just seeing him at Oregon's pro day last week.

(This is the part where we read way too much into one visit.) It makes some sense though. Drafting this high you want players who can throw the ball or those who can get to the guy throwing the ball. There are plenty of question marks about Jordan as a possible No. 1 pick as it relates specifically to the Chiefs -- Tamba? Houston? -- but on the surface I can see why Reid and Dorsey would be interested in using the top pick on a pass rusher. We covered a lot of the Chiefs-specific stuff in this post.

Updated: Chiefs draft interests table | Dion Jordan scouting report

Reid spoke to reporters from the NFL owners meetings in Arizona this week and told USA Today's Jim Corbett that Dorsey has "put a tour together" to go see all the players who they might pick No. 1 overall. Reid said that, so far, they'd hit two schools: Oregon and BYU. The interest at BYU could be for defensive end / outside linebacker Ezekiel Ansah, who the Chiefs met with at the Combine.

I don't think we have the money, but even with drafting Jordan hypothetically, I'd kick he tires on Dic Seymour.

Do they really honestly think that Cassel's a savior? If the so-called QB guru Andy Reid doesn't want him, why would they?

He'd be a good vet dlineman to sign. Ya after the draft, once teams see what they got. Then there will be another wave of FA

Sorter, you actually turned me towards Sheldon Richardson. I'd rather trade down than take him at 1, but him and Poe could be a good combo.

Richardson, Poe, Seymour?

I haven't watched Sheldon. What's his size? Can he rush the passer?

If you want a guy that can rush the passer from the 3 tech, IMO, there isn't a better guy in this draft.

Seymour would add some much needed attitude to the dline.

In an attacking defense, you could get to the passer with those 3. Add in Tamba and Houston?
