Gerrard released
David Garrard - QB - Dolphins
Dolphins released QB David Garrard.

With experienced backup signal-callers such as Seneca Wallace and Brian Hoyer freely available, the Dolphins were unable to land even a late-round pick for Garrard or Matt Moore. Even though Garrard had emerged as the front-runner early in training camp, it made little sense to keep him on the roster at $2.25 million once Ryan Tannehill had been announced as the starter. Expected to be back to full health in a week or two, Garrard shouldn't be out of work for very long.


Yea yea he's always hurt, but he's much better than Cassel, I'm game. Anyone else?

Hell yes!!!

His 'injury requiring surgery' had him out all of 2-4 weeks, Flowers has already been out longer.

He participated in passing drills yesterday, but they kept him out of 7-7 live play as it was his first day back.

He was beating the **** out of Tannehill and Moore in TC before the injury. Tannehill and Moore duked it out impressively in the Miami's eyes, so they think they have a 1 and a 1a, as opposed to a 1 and a 2, in them.

Yeah Garrard = Manning. There's a great comparison.

And I'm the 1% of people who wasn't that excited about signing Manning. Although I think he can still be successful... he's not the same guy.
