What should it have been (BCS)

Here's what you got:
Sugar: Hawaii v. Georgia

Fiesta: West Virginia v. Oklahoma

Orange: Virginia Tech v. Kansas

Rose: USC v. Illinois

BCS National Championship: Ohio St. v. LSU

Which matchups would you have preferred?

I'd definately like to see OU vs USC in the Rose. You could make a justifiable argument that either game could be for the NC- seeing as how I think these 4 teams probably could make an argument, but whatever?

So blow up the stupid rules and put KU in Miami and MU in Pasadena.
That two team rule is a bunch of crap too. They want to make sure the money is balanced amongst all the conferences.

Conferences that have three top ten teams should be rewarded not punished.

They need to throw that rule out.

The glaring issue is Kansas. Georgia does not get to go to the championship game, becuase they did not win thier conference, or even go to the conference championship game for that matter.

On the other hand...

It's pretty clear that if 2 teams go from the Big 12 it should be the two teams that played in the championship game, especially when you consider that the team that didn't get invited to the BCS (Missouri) handed the team that did get invited (Kansas) thier ass two weeks earlier (on a nuetral field none the less), and the one team missouri lost to twice Kansas never played. No way a loss in a conference championship game should put you behind a team in your conference that wasn't even in that game. reeruned.

No way Ohio State should be moving up the standings when they are not playing either. That's total BS.

All this being said, I bet Missouri still ends up ahead of Kansas in the final rankings once the bowl games are over.

I don't see how any team can move down when they don't have a game. I can see moving up but not down.

Not a complaint, just an observation.

It all balances out.

KU and MU are probably not top 10 teams. They played well in the relatively weak Big XII.

I agree, spread vs spread.....Hmm have given much thought to what that could of been, but it would be an awesome game. I would take MU because Hawaii doesn't have a defense and shouldn't of beat Washington.

What happens if Hawaii blows out Georgia and LSU wins in a tight game over Ohio State. Who is #1 at that point?

The fortunate thing is that this may be the beginning of the end for the BCS.

They should have just went down the list by the BCS rankings IMO. That should be a new rule, and I'm not talking about Mizzou getting screwed either heck Arizona State has a gripe as well since Illinois leapfrogged them. I would keep the no 3 team thing, I think its a good rule. Here is what I would have done:

National Championship
LSU vs. Ohio State

Rose
USC vs. Missouri

Orange
Virginia Tech vs. West Virginia

Fiesta
Oklahoma vs. Arizona State

Sugar
Georgia vs. Hawaii

Which would be odd considering they are the worst conference in the 6 majors

1 SEC
2 ACC
3 BIG 12
3 PAC 10
5 Big East
6 Big 11

i'd put MU in the Overstock.com bowl. So they would cry some more, because there just aren't enough tears currently.
