@JonRothstein: Iowa State has had tremendous success with transfers over the past few years. Cyclones view Bryce Dejean-Jones as next year's DeAndre Kane.

Actually Hogue played a lot like Ejim did for us previous years. After Niang got hurt he really stepped up and played well. He will just be better his second year like any other Juco is. He averaged 21 points in the tournament.

So yes, if we get Dejean-Jones we will have pretty good replacements for Kane and Ejim. Then throw in Nader and McKay who sat out last year... We would actually be in better shape. Freshman Clayton Custer will also play some giving Monte Morris some breaths. We will have a lot more depth

McKay and Hogue played together on the best Juco team who had 7 guys sign D1. McKay was the best player on the team averaging 18-12 while Hogue who played very well for us last year only averaged 10-5 on that team. McKay is the shot blocker a Fred team hasn't had yet... And Niang says playing him in practice is just like when he used to practice against Nerlins Noel.

Nader was the best player on the team last year...

Defense will be better, and the offense will always be there.

Cliff is a monster and Oubre is fearless driving to the basket.

Really? I wasn't impressed with Alexander at all. He might have looked better the second half, didn't see it.

With a busted hand....yeah he did much better in the 2nd half.

One of the last plays in the final minute was Oubre driving to the basket on Alexanxer. Oubre got fouled...it was a hawk on hawk crime LOL

Self won't have to twist Alexander and Cliff's arms to get them to take over like he had to with Wiggs. They're alpha dogs. I loved Wiggs but it just wasn't in him to be a take over kind of player consistently as Self pointed out numerous times. We're gonna love these kids' attitudes.

I didn't watch any of Wiggins in high school so I could be completely wrong, but I have a hard time believing that he wasn't an alpha on the court during high school.
