Kaepernick pulls a Steve Bono

How ya like him now, SF? By "doin this", I'm not sure if he means rocking another teams' gear or grinding for his teammates.

If it was written into the CBA that players can't wear any NFL gear other than that gear of the team they're currently signed, I'd agree.

But the guy was DRAFTED by the Niner's, took them to a Super Bowl, can't renegotiate his contract until after next season and isn't eligible for free agency until after the 2014 season.

But hells yeah, he's insulting The MAN.

If I had to work with someone with those thoughts, let alone FOR THEM, I'd give a swift **** punt and tell 'em to **** off.

It's not even remotely like that. Dolphins and 49ers aren't even in the same conference let alone division. That parallel of Nike and Adidas is straight awful. There is nothing wrong with what he did. Get the freak over it.

Why should he know better? He's a 23 year old kid from Turlock, CA that just happens to play in the NFL.

If I knew how to act as a 23 year old, I'd be a millionaire.

I dunno... maybe he wasn't a fan of a team growing up. If he was, he'd understand how that might upset people.

In the end, 9er's fans won't care as long as he keeps playing well, but if he slips just a little... look out.

Sometimes being a Chiefs fan really sucks. I mean seriously, look at the shit you guys get worked up about. It isn't even a player on our team. JFC this thread is embarrassing.

Niner fans are lame. They're amongst, if not THE, wealthiest fans in the entire nation. I'm guessing most of the people that show up at the stadium on Sunday couldn't care less.

It's a silly non-issue, IMO.

Exactly.

This isn't Mickey Mantle walking around Manhattan in a Brooklyn Dodgers cap.

This is a kid, on a beach, having fun, wearing a Dolphins hat.

Big deal.

And for record, which one of the current NFL QB's didn't idolize Dan Marino and wish they were a Miami Dolphin, too?

he was a packer fan growing up, (grew up in Milwaukee) then when he moved later to cali, became a niner fan. So, where the ****ing Miami gear comes in, I don't know, and I am glad at least he has shown the real douche bag side of him, that I couldn't stand from the get go. This is yet another reason, I will always respect alex smith more. Kaep is a straight douche bag.......

I'm just saying if he were our QB... it'd be pretty annoying.

(I'd get over it though, as long as he played well.)

uh, Let me repeat. He was a packer fan, who grew up idolizing Brett Favre, and then a 49ers fan......So, why and on what time frame did he worship Dan Marino. he didn't. He was in Miami, scoring ass, and thought well I better rock some Miami shit. Hes dumb.

Probably the current NFL QBs too young to have watched old-ass Dan play.

CK did something stupid, acted unnecessarily defensive through social media, and now we have this thread. Overall, it's a waste of time, but it does suggest that his "commitment" to the 49ers, for lack of a better word, is questionable.

Yes, I think he plays his ass off for his teammates, etc., but wearing the gear of a "rival" franchise is just plain dumb.

It's a good thing he wasn't wearing Raiders gear. Those SF fans would cut his balls off for that. They do not get along out there in the bay area.

Hey, if Alex Smith was wearing Dolphin gear, I'd be pissed too. I didn't even like the Chiefs wearing those Dallas Texan throwbacks a couple years ago.
