He's better. But very slightly so. Nothing in his 8 year career has made me think he's a good QB. Even in his best seasons most people would agree that he was the 14th - 20th best QB in the league.

If he somehow has a good year/career in KC, I'll be the first to eat crow, but absolutely NOTHING he has done in his career makes me think he'll be anything more than average.

The guy can't even complete seasons. He's only played 16 games twice in his career.

Alex Smith was on pace for 23 TD's in a restricted game manager role in SF.

Reid is going to have him air it out much more here and surround him with weapons.

Alex Smith will throw 25 TD's next year IMO.

Any Alex Smith success would come from a strong running game in JC and some playaction. If Coach Reid wants him to air it out Alex Smith is going get in trouble. He doesn't have the background to be a passer of 35+ times a game. He is ok at 25 times with a running game.
