News Bomb Exploded at Boston Marathon Finish Line - Page 250

I've heard an unconfirmed report (a co-worker's girlfriend called him) that there was a bomb at the finish line of the Boston Marathon, with people injured. I am hearing multiple sirens, though I'm not in the Copley area.

They may have been talking about using non lethal ways of getting him out but there is no ****ing way they initially approached that boat with non lethal ammo in their guns.

Could be the order came from very high up to do whatever they could to take him alive. My guess is they knew he wanted to go out via suicide by cop. So they had a plan to open fire with dummy bullets, and get him to return fire with whatever he had left.

Compare that to the approach of say… Dorner. Did they ever try to bring in a negotiator for Dorner?

Just because they don't want to kill him doesn't mean they are going to send officers into a deadly situation with rubber bullets...

Ask him if he makes it out of the hospital, since last I heard he was in critical condition, or his dead brother about those non lethal bullets.

Sometimes MLB will not reschedule games if they have no implication in the playoffs. This early in the season I would think they will get it in somewhere, but alnorth did a great breakdown on why it would suck if they don't play a Sunday double-header.

It's possible, but since its so early chances are they will find a place for it. I was honestly surprised that right after they got the guy they didn't just schedule a day-night double header for tomorrow (today), but apparently someone already ruled that out.

He was wounded during the gunfight that got his brother killed. They were using normal rounds at that point. Doesn't mean the FBI HRT didn't use all the methods at their disposal to take him alive, considering the degree of control they had over the situation at that point.
