I figured I would start a thread for this and see what happens....there seemed to be quite a few viewers on the board for this show the past few weeks.....I like the direction the show is taking so far......episode 3 tonight at 7 central on ABC....

Ok, I've got a couple things this week. Not a whole lot of easter eggs in this episode.

1. I hope everyone noticed how fast Ben healed.

2. As the plane is going down, you can hear over the radio in the background someone saying "4.......8......15.....16.....23......42"

3. I wonder if Jack being placed as a janitor wasn't Sawyer saying "!@@% you buddy" to Jack in a backhanded way.

4. Anybody else think that Sayid's "reason for coming back" from next week's preview is to kill little Ben.

5. I like how Radzinsky was designing the Flame station...aka...the original hatch.

6. I think Sawyer mentioning that Faraday was "gone" was very important

7. One last thing, prior to Christian coming out of the Dharma house, you could hear the "whispers" like the others used to intimidate the Losties in the jungle in earlier seasons.

Yeah, Maybe he left on a Submarine

7. One last thing, prior to Christian coming out of the Dharma house, you could hear the "whispers" like the others used to intimidate the Losties in the jungle in earlier seasons.
There has been some speculation that those whispers are from people talking at the same spot on the island, just in a different time

This is pretty interesting. Here's a brightened version of the scene with Sun/Christian. It looks like there are two people in the background. On the original version, it's very dark. I think it's a production error, but some people have other theories.

Swan, Flame is the 'info center' he was sitting in while designing Swan.

Hmmm... queen of fertility?? On an island where for some reason women who bear children end up dead?

aaaand queen of the underworld on an island where dead people show up all the time? Not to mention it seems to have it's own immortal guardian. (Alpert, (duh))

Dude, I don't know. I'm just throwing stuff out there. The idea was triggered when I watched some earlier episodes this season over the weekend. In one, Charlotte suddenly started talking in mumbo-jumbo and said "I know more about Carthage than anyone".

Furthermore, it appears that there's a time frame where people can't get pregnant and have healthy babies on the island. Ethan was born on the island in 1977 and in 2004, Sun got pregnant and later delivered.

And we may find out that other people were born on the island as well (Miles and Daniel Faraday are two possible examples).

Sun delivered off the island, though. For all we know, the "curse" still stands.

Yeah but she did get pregnant. And Claire had a baby on the island.

Anyway, I find it interesting that the statue was there at some point and now it's gone. I find it hard to believe that it means nothing, especially with all of the heiroglyphics found on the island.
