49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Never fear, Alex Smith averages 1 TD per game. That's awesome because he doesn't throw Interceptions.

And he was on pace for his second straight 3,500 yard season (LOL).

ah, if we were only playing keep away and not trying to score, Smith would be the MVP every year.

If we have a QB that averaged one TD a game and didn't turn the ball over we would have won about 7 more games last year.

David Akers broke the NFL record for most field goals in a season.

He broke the record for most points ever by a 49er in one season, beating out the great Jerry Rice.

Akers had more to do with the point totals then Smith.

Actually, we would have only beat the steelers and ravens if that happened. Most of the other games were blowouts

Now, if we can get a solid #2 CB in here, and throw Kendrick Lewis in a closet somewhere, we can probably go 9-7 with Alex Smith.

They would have beaten Indy, The Raiders twice, Denver in the first game. The turnovers in those games and the lack of QB production was just laughable.

So 6 wins. 8-8 is no prize for me, but with just average QB play, they would have won a lot more with the run game and the defense playing well in those.
