What the hell is this chant everybody sings at games now?

For those that are musically literate, it goes E....G E D C.... B..... where the dots are long notes. I don't know how else to ****ing describe it. I don't know what it's called. I don't know what it's from. I don't know why the **** fans think it's good. And I don't know how to search for it to show you.

I noticed it at a college football game on TV maybe two or three years ago? I just assumed it was something stupid that Florida fans did, but now I've seen it in all manners of college sports. And as of this year I've seen it at NFL and NBA games.

It's dumb, it's annoying, and it has to stop. If the goal is to get the crowd into it so they make some noise, there are better ways to do that than a dumbass chant. If I were a visiting player on that home court/field and the fans started doing that, I'd laugh at them, call them dumbasses, and play even better and more motivated than I was to make them look like assholes.
