Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started.

Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE:

If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point.

I don't like all the gold standard flavors. Some are pretty nasty. My wife doesn't like most powders, either. She likes the cake batter casein and the trutein Cinnabun and pumpkin pie. Myofusions chocolate milk is great, but has 2g of fat and some carbs. Good for maintenance, but not dieting.

The good thing about gold standard is the flavor sample packs they sell, so you can try before you buy. The only flavors of gold I like are the extreme milk chocolate and the toffe caramel fudge. But it's not a meal replacement. It's just a supplement, so it doesn't have to be amazing. That's why I'm more concerned with what's in it than absolute taste. I don't recommend stuff that tastes like ass, though.

Honestly I'm used to chugging protein, this hyvee stuff is unchuggable lol. Hyvee used to sell those individual packs but stopped. what other places have them?

Join a gym instead. It's cheaper and easier to get out of your place when you quit.

the only one that's sandy is you dear, I'm really not a n00b pillowbitergot - look at my history - At one point my body fat was one of the lowest on this site - ask Clay. & when i'm speaking of getting any advice in this thread - if i don't mention otherwise - assume the question is for Silock and not your stupid ass.

Wow, it does look like they are. That ****ing blows. Maybe dpsnutrition has some. Or bodybuilding.com. Beyond those two, I dunno.

I know trutein will sell sample packs for like a buck each.

I still say join a gym. You'll quickly outgrow a machine like that at your house.

Probably why they stopped carrying them at the stores. As much as I hate GNC I wonder if they carry individuals. May run past there or vitamin shoppe today.
