*****Official 2012 Big 12 Basketball Tournament Thread*****

With MU's last appearances in the Big 12 Tournament and in the Big Dance as part of the Big 12, they look like one of the teams to beat, in both.

KU's regular season was typical: Strong throughout the season, winning the regular season championship. Lots of hope and hype. Rightly, so.

KSU had a strong season; four home losses made things a bit rough, but they can play.

Baylor's program has bounced back over the last two years, and boasts a top 10 ranking.

OSU was hammered with the injuries to Nash and Adkins.

Oklahoma had an even-Steven season, contrary to their strong history.

Texas Tech, Texas A & M, and Texas were just plain, well, plain.

Iowa State had a greatly improved regular season. Hoiberg took them to a new level. (So much for my rooting for the underdog to win it.)

Who ya think will win it this year?

Wednesday, March 7

Gm1: No. 9 Texas A&M def. No. 8 Oklahoma 62-53

Gm2: No. 7 Oklahoma State def. No. 10 Texas Tech 76-60

Thursday, March 8

Gm3: No. 4 Baylor def. No. 5 Kansas State 82-74

Gm4: No. 1 Kansas def. No. 9 Texas A&M 83-66

Gm5: No. 2 Missouri def. No.7 Oklahoma State 88-70

Gm6: No. 6 Texas def. No. 3 Iowa State 71-65

Friday, March 9

Gm7: Baylor def. Kansas 81-72

Gm8: Missouri Vs. Texas - 8:30 p.m. CT - Big 12 Network/ESPNU

Saturday, March 10

Gm9: Championship Gm7 winner Vs. Gm8 winner - 5:00 p.m. CT - ESPN

Wouldn't be surprised if Texas beats ISU, though. They have way more to play for this week than any other team in the conference.

Big XII network's high def feeds stinks. Either them or 38 the spot. Hope it does not look this bad during tomorrows games.

So I guess Mu will play Oklahoma State, then Iowa state before beating KU in the finals. I was kind of hoping that KU would get ISU or OSU. I think the Cyclones could've knocked em out early. Oh well, I would like to see us beat KU on a neutral court for our last meeting as members of the big 12

Gee, but Bill Self said that KC wasn't so much of a "Missouri" town. Heh. (It ain't hardly a UMKC town.)

I'd really rather play OU. Not only would they be an easier opponent, IMO, but the game would become incredibly more watchable. A&M's pace is just so slow.
