Source says Cassel to be cut now

Just listening to the radio (Petro) and during the sportscenter update, they said according to an "NFL source", Cassel will now be cut.

IF true, the chiefs still need a qb no? I'll be shocked if they don't move back up into the second to get the best QB available.

Nononononono. Matt is not even NFL talent. Couldn't even start in college.

I thought I'd cheer the day when he was cut. Now I don't give 2 shits about it.

Maybe they are hoping to trade Cassel. Even if it is for a 7th rounder it's better than nothing. The least he can do for the team that made him rich is to redo his contract so he is tradeable.

OK I'm asking for too much.

It's "now" as in "now that they have Alex Smith..."

We cut the 40th best QB and we traded away our future for the 30th best QB. How much joy should I take for cutting the 40th best QB and getting no compensation, and giving away the farm to get someone marginally better?

Actually, I'd be happier if they cut Alex Smith on March 13th.

Bashing Chiefs players is so last year.

The in vogue troll move is to try to convince us how good Alex Smith is. Need to get with the times.

Nah, hell with it, I could never come up with the good troll posts that actual fans of the team has

I just wonder if Alex was good last year because the 9ers were just a great team or not... Matt Cassel looked like a world beater on the great Patriots team too...

He will probably be ok with some good protection
