convicted in Los Angeles county under Statute 288(a): LEWD OR LASCIVIOUS ACTS WITH A CHILD UNDER 14 YEARS OF AGE

So, as little as I respected him before, I REALLY don't respect him now. I don't know if I can continue working for him...

During a background check this would have come up. HR and your boss both know about it. You doing anything at work, even discussing it would be perceived as retaliatory. Thus putting your head on the chopping block rather than his. The company is going to look out for the company. Every company has at least one person in it that has been convicted of a crime that each and every one of us would find reprehensible. You make an issue of it only puts the company in jeopardy of a lawsuit. You will be gone before him if that happens. Tread carefully.

Has he worked there during the offense in question. He might have cleared the background check at hire time but bad touched during his time as an employee so it would not have come up during his background check
