Looking to buy an RV
I am at the point in my life where I want to do some camping and relax...

I want to buy a New RV , I want about a 16footer but I want it to be super light.

Looked at scamps and Catista on the internet and really like those and would like to see similar brands to these.

I have a V6 Explorer with the towing package , I am very experienced obviously at pulling very heavy trailers but thats not what I want... Just want something light in the 10k-15k range I can pay cash for.

We're getting out of my knowledge range here. I don't know pricing much. But the pictures here look like a brand new unit to me.

That happens sometimes. There's some sketchy power supplies out there. Usually though, we've found that melted shore cord ends result from stretching extra lengths of cord from the pedestal to the camper and cranking a lot of power (air conditioner) through it. Not a big deal as long as the cord itself or the connection to your breaker panel aren't damaged.

It is at the Dealer right now and he says he is going to pick it up tomorrow. I am very sure this dealer will not take any shortcuts and I will call them about the unit before I buy it on what repairs were made. Thanks for the help

Went to a dealer yesterday and asked him how much I can get it for paying cash... He told me he preferred people to finance because they actually make more money that way,Said cash didn't really matter. I left of course

Isn't that a kicker. You want to pay cash and they want to finance because they make more money. Both Chevy and Dodge would ADD 1500 to the price of a truck if I didn't finance. Just proves they are making nothing on the sale-just the financing.

I guess if you plan on traveling with more than 2 people RVs are a good idea but they really are not very efficient vehicles and kind of a pain in the ass. If you haven't ever seen Mercedes Sprinter Camper Vans check it out. Most of them are modded and don't come as an RV, but you can get 23 mpg, get a nice used one for $10,000 and with $10,000 - $20,000 in modifications can have a pretty sweet set up including almost everything in an RV including a kitchen, stove, bathroom, bed etc. Some people actually LIVE in these things and go completely off the grid, using solar power, inverters, etc to get power without having to deal with RV parks.
