Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Tuesday that the club has agreed to terms with six rookie free agents. WR Nathaniel Curry, DT Arrion Dixon, LB Kris Griffin, CB Gabriel Helms, RB Sam Gado and TE Willie Walden all agreed to terms of two-year contracts.



WR Nathaniel Curry (5-10, 196) played in 44 games (27 starts) at Georgia Tech. He caught 92 passes for 1,185 yards (12.9 avg.) with eight touchdowns and rushed four times for 25 yards. He appeared in 11 games as a senior, finishing second on the club with 32 catches for 454 yards (14.2 avg.) with three TDs. The prep running back at Monsignor Pace High School in Miami, Florida produced 1,000 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior.

DT Arrion Dixon (6-4, 308) appeared in 43 games as a defensive lineman at Arkansas. He produced 70 tackles (57 solo), 4.5 sacks (-28.0 yards), 18.0 tackles behind the line (-67.0 yards), a fumble recovery and three forced fumbles. He recorded a career-high 64 tackles (27 solo), a sack (-6.0 yards), 6.0 stops for loss and 11 quarterback pressures as a junior. The two-sport athlete at Wynne High School in Wynne, Arkansas earned the league’s Most Outstanding Lineman Award.

LB Kris Griffin (6-3, 232) saw action in 40 contests at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, recording 261 tackles (139 solo), 12.0 sacks, 38.0 tackles behind the line, 11 interceptions and seven passes defensed. He played in nine contests as a senior, totaling 51 tackles (28 solo), 4.0 sacks, 9.0 tackles for loss, an interception and two passes defensed. The Rochester, Pennsylvania native was a three-sport athlete at Rochester High School and was selected to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette Fabulous 22 Squad his senior season as both a safety and wide receiver.

CB Gabriel Helms (5-10, 221) is a product of Northwest Missouri State, recording 88 tackles (54 solo), a sack, 2.0 tackles for loss, three interceptions and 18 passes defensed. He totaled 33 tackles (20 solo), two INTs and 10 passes defensed as a senior. The St. Louis, Missouri native earned all-conference honors as a linebacker at Parkway North High School.

RB Sam Gado (5-11, 210) played in 39 games at Liberty, rushing 273 times for 1,631 yards (6.0 yards) with 16 touchdowns and adding 38 receptions for 486 yards (12.8 avg.) with six TDs. He carried the ball 138 times for a career-high 901 yards (6.5 avg.) with 11 TDs and was named first-team All-Big South. The two-time all-state selection as a prep standout at Ben Lippen High School in St. Louis, Missouri rushing 207 times for 2,007 yards with 26 scores as a senior.

TE Willie Walden (6-7, 278) saw duty in 38 games (27 starts) at Montana his final three collegiate seasons after playing in four games at Oregon as a redshirt freshman. He caught 40 passes for 496 yards (12.4 avg.) with eight touchdowns in his career. Walden recorded 38 receptions for 641 yards with nine TDs as a senior at Evergreen High School in Vancouver, Washington.
