"Bucco Bruce" May Never Be Seen Again
Interesting article about throwback uni's. We may never see the Patriot hiking the ball, or the white and blue Dallas Star, or the Chiefs wearing The State of Texas helmet (Thank God) again.

But perhaps the greatest loss would be of Buccaneer Bruce, the poncy, pillowbiting fabulously flaming swashbuckler on the old Tampa Bay helmet.

Old school Bills helmets and unis are my favorite; but I thought the creamsicle look for the Bucs was pretty cool.

the reason behind it is so reeruned.
The throwbacks were cool to see once a year; Tampa.
there is a guy at work who wears a throwback a few times a year and I'm reminded of how cool they were back in the day.

The Pats helmet with the patriot hiking the ball were cool. So is Buffalo's old school red buffalo on a white helmet. Washington's Maroon helmet with the spear was bad ass. And what about Pittsburgh's killer bee's unis? Broncos monkey shit brown with vertical sock stripes? And the Packers and Lions have had multiple hideous uni's from the 1940s and 1950's. I like the throwbacks, and I think it's good for merchandising. As long as the helmet is structurally the same as the current issue, what's the problem? It's not like the NFL can't afford to give guys more than one helmet.

I don't understand the problem. The helmet things are decals. Just scrape it off and put a new one on.

I guess if the throwback is a different color they might need a second helmet, but come on. This is a multi-billion dollar business and it's great marketing to have the throwbacks.
