MO West was in total control from the start. Pitt began to make a game of it near the end; the game wasn't as close as the admittedly large 13 pt. differential indicates.
In a battle of high-powered offenses with shaky defenses, Mo West proved itself the better team. Next up for the Griffons is a team with a similarly good offense and one of the nation's best defenses - the No. 2 Northwest Missouri State Bearcats. That should be a good game; I need to pick up my ticket early. |

FIGHT GRIFFONS!
Washburn looking good! I'm pumped about their D this year. I'm also happy that Northwest visits Topeka this year. |

Interesting score overview from yesterday:
Washburn, defending MIAA champs, beat CMSU 14-10 Washburn lost last week to Western Washington. Western Washington lost yesterday to University of Nebraska Omaha, 38-10. Northwest MO beat UNO last week 31-0. That bodes well for the Bearcats, especially if it beats Mo West next week. |
