Suppose the Chiefs don't make any more FA acquisitions and draft Berry.....

What would you think of this defensive lineup:

LE T. Jackson
NT S. Smith----->(competition between him and Cam Thomas)
RE Dorsey
OLB Hali
ILB Vrabel
ILB D. Johnson
OLB ???? Pass rusher(hopefully J Hughes)
CB Flowers
CB Carr
FS Berry
SS Morgan (assuming he surprises this year)

*Im expecting to receive criticism from putting Vrabel in there because Im aware many of you don't like him, but go ahead and flame away. Like it or not, he is here, and is going to play a role one way or another. At least we could say, DJ and Vrabel would be more of an improvement over C. Mays and D. Williams?

My chiefs mock only for rds 1 &2:

1-Berry
2a-J Hughes
2b-C Thomas

Clearly because there's no other LB out there that can match his awesomeness!

Maybe he has potty pics of Pioli.

Can Morgan play SS? I don't think he's that good of a run supporter to play it. Honestly, I'd rather have McGraw play it. He can run support and Berry can worry about the pass.

We're gonna draft the heck out of defense, so these rookies look good to me. However, I want NO part of Morgan at SS. Maybe we need to address that position in the draft as well. I know it's a little scary to have two rookie safeties but, really, who else do we have?

Morgan can't play SS. No way. Dude looked soft as hell out there last season. I can see why the coaches don't start him.

Mike Brown is a FA right now and it doesn't look like the Chiefs will re-sign him.

And now that I've said that... watch him be re-signed tonight

I think having Morgan at SS, we both gain and lose.

We'd gain in the coverage department since he has both more speed and athletic ability than McGraw.

On the other hand, you may be right, he'd be a liability on run defense since he lacks physical toughness, and tackling ability.

you realize that all this stuff about Morgan is just wishful thinking ... he hasn't shown a dam thing.

i hope he works out too but he couldn't even beat out MrGraw,Brown. The chiefs even went to Leggitt for safety help before Morgan.

They need to draft an ILB. Vrabel isn't an ILB anymore.
