The encouraging thing about the past few weeks is Peyton Manning looks like, well, Peyton ****ing Manning, and we have a much easier schedule the rest of the way.

I have never been more optimistic about a 2-3 Broncos team in my life. We got the Chargers next week and if we take care of business we will be atop the division.

Manning looks like Manning in that Brady handed him his ass again. I will give him this much, though. Nobody dominates the prevent defense after the game is decided like Peyton.

Worked by another good team again. Why can't they keep from getting blown out early and only move the ball against prevent? Getting owned by 3 top teams isn't something to be proud of.

We were moving the ball fine early in the game. DT had a fumble on a gorgeous deep pass on the opening drive.

The Patriots got their lead when Von Miller was out of the game. They ran it down our throats on the two series Von was out.

The broncos are the chiefs of of the very early 1990s before Montana. They will be the best of a very crappy division, make the playoffs, host a playoff game, and then get beat by the REAL elite teams in the AFC. Same will go on for a year or two till manning is too old or injured, and then who knows where everyone in the division will be. Regardless, no late charging team for the superbowl will be coming out of the AFC west for the next two years.

The Pats weren't in the prevent. What got us back in the game was the DEEP BALL to DT. The prevent is supposed to prevent teams from beating them deep.

When, exactly, did you get back in the game? I saw the Broncos go down 31-7 before scoring a couple of garbage time touchdowns but never even getting back to within single digits.

You were down by double digits at halftime and never got any closer.

That helped. Denver made some stupid decisions as well late in the game, like handing the ball off to Lance ****ing Ball on 3rd and 4.

We had a chance to win it in the end but McGahee killed us. He dropped a pass on 4th and 3 and then fumbled the ball on our last possession. Both of those plays happened on NE's side of the field. We would have gotten at least 10 points out of those 2 drives.

We only lost by 10 and we easily left 20+ points on the field last night. DT's fumble, McGahee's drop, McGahee's fumble, the 3rd and 4 run call, and we passed on a 50 yard FG early in the game. All of those plays happened in NE's territory.

The game was ours for the taking and we just didn't take it.

I bet he was playing with a concussion. Von was trying to tackle Welker in the middle of the field when Joe Mays went for a killshot on Welker, missed, and hit Von instead. He missed a good chunk of time after that play.

Phil Simms and Nantz kind of ignored it and kept saying Mays was out of the game when Mays was actually on the field and Von was out.

Sour grapes.... Denver is on pace for 7 wins this season - Chiefs or Raiders won't reach that lofty height. If Sandy Eggo continues to struggle, the Broncos at 7 wins might even take the division.

Give KnowMo his due... Broncos have so far managed one more win than the AFCW's worst teams have. An AFCW team even has one more loss than Denver does! So its mathematically possible that things could actually be worse for the Broncos. From that springs our jealousy... and our sour grapes....
