You were agreeing with him?

Hmmm... Let's see:

You have a weird way of agreeing with him. Not my concern - I'm not involved in this debate except to drop the data point that $20 back then is about $160 today, FWIW.

For my part, It doesn't seem remarkable for someone to come up with $160 in today's money, but also, I don't think that you need a $3000 rifle to shoot someone.

so to his point, don't you think if there was some vast conspiracy , that he might have had some better equipment at the very least? And not some super cheap piece of shit rifle.?

Thats the point which you don't seem to understand

oh wow, inspector Clueless..I didnt realize the cost was what determinted the trackability of it....and since they found out it was him, and found out where he got the rifle, I guess that part of their plan failed miserably?

LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

if they didnt want it to be 'tracked' why not use an american model that was much much more common? Like just have a patsy go to sears and get one...

This is why people laugh at you

What are you even talking about? Are you trying to debate me? I've made no assertion to debate.

Neat.

I posted a newsworthy thread that 30 years ago would have been huge national news, and today passes as a blip under coverage about Russia before a commercial break. You're damn right that I'm making implicit assertions, but none of them have anything to do with what you're arguing with yourself about. I'm happy to walk the straw men that you are creating for yourself. They're entertaining for the both of us, I assure you.

Real life disagrees with you. Even average marksmen have been able to do it.
