How did everyone fair last night?....

After the hellacious storm after storm we had last night, did everyone weather it okay? I didn't have any damage, but didn't sleep at all with storm sirens going off till almost 4am this morning.

Watched the weather a lot thats for sure. Heavy rain, hail and wind but no tornados thankfully.

I hadn't heard if a tornado had actually hit here in Springfield or not, but there was some major wind damage being reported. Especially the westside of town, as well as downtown itself. It was windy as hell around 2:30am. Probably the hardest wind that I've seen in about 4-5 years.

Listening to the TV and radio last night when that last storm went through they we calling out wind speeds.... Heard a 65, 82, and a 100 mph gusts.

Well that explains the power outage, and the damage throughout various parts of the city....I couldn't believe as I was watching on TV, that I'd look out my window facing Battlefield Rd and there were STILL cars driving around in that 2:30 storm!!

Couple of the Tornadic storms went over us byt never touched down. Felt pretty lucky... House and trees held up fine. Biggest thing this morning was that kids didn't want to get up for school this morning since we got up and went to the basement again early this morning (3:00ish I believe)

Yes I really feel for those near Monett, and in Strafford and Republic. Lots of damage there. Heard that two had died as a result of the storm, but that there were several storm related injuries. Just glad my family is all okay. That industrial building near W. Bypass and Division is just a stone's throw away from my parents house. Fortunately everything is okay with them.

I did hear reports that the storm was overhyped in Olathe. Just a rumor however.

I hear that it was headed for Olathe, but turned due east at the city limits. Still sunny & 75 in Olathe!

I drove all around Springfield this morning. Cooper Supply across from OTC lost its roof. The giant Krispy Kreme sign on the corner of Glenstone and Chestnut is down. I saw several destroyed billboards and trash bins (the big industrial ones) upside-down and several yards from where they used to be. Apparently, all this destruction in Springfield was caused by 100 mph winds - no tornadoes actually touched down.
