THE LATEST CHIEFS NEWS FROM KFFL.....!!!!!!!

Thu, 23 May 2013 05:48:49 -0700
The Kansas City Chiefs worked out free-agent S Corey Lynch (Chargers) Wednesday, May 22.

Wed, 22 May 2013 11:11:10 -0700
The Kansas City Chiefs signed free-agent SS Quintin Demps (Texans) to an undisclosed deal Wednesday, May 22, and released FS Justin Glenn and CB James Rogers in corresponding moves.

Wed, 22 May 2013 05:49:43 -0700
The Kansas City Chiefs signed undrafted free-agent FS Malcolm Bronson (McNeese State) to an undisclosed deal.

Mon, 20 May 2013 11:26:31 -0700
Retired OG Ryan Lilja (knee, toe) will not consider a comeback until he recovers from knee and toe surgeries he underwent this offseason. General manager John Dorsey and head coach Andy Reid have asked Lilja to reconsider his retirement decision.

Mon, 20 May 2013 11:19:42 -0700
The Kansas City Chiefs have practiced some plays from the pistol formation during organized team activities. QB Alex Smith likely would have to use his legs and arm in the formation since it includes the option in the plays.

Fri, 17 May 2013 16:36:38 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs LBs Akeem Jordan and Nico Johnson are expected to compete for one of the starting inside linebacker jobs during training camp.

Fri, 17 May 2013 12:59:16 -0700
The Kansas City Chiefs have signed undrafted free-agent FB Toben Opurum (Kansas). Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Thu, 16 May 2013 16:43:20 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Donnie Avery (ankle) injured his ankle during organized team activities Tuesday, May 14, and has been limited the last few days.

Thu, 16 May 2013 16:37:02 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Jonathan Baldwin appears to be the favorite for the No. 2 wide receiver job at this point but has not emerged as the dominant offseason player like he was last offseason. WRs Donnie Avery, Dexter McCluster and Terrance Copper are also expected to be candidates for the job.

Wed, 15 May 2013 17:35:51 -0700
The Kansas City Chiefs agreed to terms with FB Braden Wilson Wednesday, May 15. Terms of the deal were undisclosed. The team now has four of its eight draft picks signed.

Wed, 15 May 2013 17:35:16 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs OT Branden Albert arrived at organized team activities (OTAs) Tuesday, May 14, and he took his spot at starting left tackle as he had promised. "I never was sad, never disgruntled, just a little confused," Albert said. "Everything is clear now. It's in the past."

Wed, 15 May 2013 13:13:05 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe said he expects to lead the NFL in receptions and receiving touchdowns in 2013, and that RB Jamaal Charles will lead the league in rushing this season.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe should receive more targets under head coach Andy Reid but likely will not be a top fantasy wide receiver. He should be viewed as a solid No. 2 wide receiver option. Charles has shown he can be a top fantasy running back and should be an every-week starter in 2013.

Wed, 15 May 2013 12:26:10 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said consultant Chris Ault will help the team defend the pistol offense and could also help the team add the offense to their scheme. "He's been here once, and visited with the defense," Reid said, "and he visited with [offensive assistant Brad Childress], and they went over stuff. He's not moving here … I'll give him projects to do and work together with Brad."

Tue, 14 May 2013 21:29:08 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs CB Dunta Robinson lined up with the starting defense at right cornerback in the first day of organized team activities (OTAs) Tuesday, May 14.

Tue, 14 May 2013 21:26:43 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs TE Tony Moeaki (knee) was on the field for the first day of organized team activities (OTAs) Tuesday, May 14, but he did not practice as he recovers from a procedure on his knee.

I'm not trying to hear that.

Stop being the guy at the party thats all like "they probably got pulled over on the way over with the keg"

For the first time in my football lifetime, the Chiefs are apparently looking at GOOD quarterbacks that there is a POSSIBILITY of getting.

Let me and my boner have a couple minutes before you start flashing naked pictures of my grandmother in front of me to remind me of reality.

You never know in this league.

The Rams could possibly cut some dead weight and take a combination of Dorsey/Bowe and our #11 pick in trade because that gives them two proven players AND a premium pick.

Truth is, they have the pick for sale and they may see a compensation package like that as better value than a bunch of picks.

Just the thought of our team with somebody except Cassel at quarterback is enough to get me excited.

There is no ****ing way the Chiefs will trade up to get the #2 pick from the Rams. It would be awesome if they did, but I don't believe for a second that they'll do it. Pioli is gonna ride Matt ****ing Cassel until he gets fired.

Romeo has came right out and

A. Said he wants Orton to return

B. Said the team would be crazy not to consider Peyton Manning

C. Said RG3 is the type if quarterback "you go up and get"

D. All of the above.

...

You can't tell me with a straight face that the guy likes Cassel and is backing him.

My point is that Romeo would, too.

He is so adamant about it that everywhere he goes he talks about possible quarterback acquisitions.

There is smoke surrounding half the forest and some here still think there isn't a fire.

I agree with the cassel statement, and I don't think he'll be the starter the next season. However, I'm just not buying into it. I just don't see us pulling the trigger.

Personally, I don't see how he could. He's left his defensive units high and dry the last 2 years.

Boss man I want to soooooooooooo believe D. All the above, as you said BUT their is a huge "tell" here why he stays with Cassel.

Answer- Haley's firing. Haley was never a Cassel fan from the get go and by the end of 2010 Haley was emotionally and mentally done with Cassel and Pioli knew it. Thus you have the 2011 strained relationship between Haley and Pioli. And when Cassel got hurt Palko was Haley's middle finger to Pioli as someone suggested here on the board which I thoroughly agree with.

IMHO Pioli is just playing poker here.

Not really. Cox liked to hit people, but it seemed like he just totally missed more often than not. He was a whiffer.

I just don't really think McClain likes to hit people.
