Gambling Challenge 2006 Signups

I suppose it's not too early to start organizing this. I assume you all want me to run this again. If not, let me know, my feelings will not be hurt.

I will absolutely, positively cut this off at 50 participants and last year's players have first dibs at their spots. We actually had 56 last year because I caved and added some people at the last minute, but I WILL NOT do that this year. I know some of the people in the list below will not re-up because I don't see them post anymore, so I'm pretty sure there will be a few spots open for new players.

For last year's players:
Please indicate in this thread whether or not you intend to participate again.

For potential new players:
Please indicate in this thread that you would like to be placed on the waiting list. At a yet to be determined date, I will fill the empty spots on a first come, first served basis.

As a reminder, here is a brief rundown of the rules:
1. You are given 10k to start out and can bet up to 5k on any one bet. There is a $500 minimum bet unless you have less than that in which case you would be all in.
2. Payouts are at 90% unless otherwise stated. –170 would mean you have to bet $170 to win $100. +250 would mean you would get a $250 payout on every $100 bet.
3. You must bet at least once every 3 weeks or you are eliminated. If you cannot commit to participating at least this much please let us know now so somebody else can take your place.
4. Contingency bets are allowed.
5. There are no parlays
6. All bets must be placed before the start of the game.
7. You can also change your original bet as long as that game has not kicked off yet, BUT DO NOT EDIT YOUR ORIGINAL POST. If you wish to change your bet, create a new post stating what your original bet was and what you want to change it to. Any other method will not be allowed and the original bet will stand!

So what say you mods? Can a brutha get a sticky?
Didn't we get a new mod?

Asleep at the switch already.

The real secret, is to never ever give up.

If you put your mind to it, you can run the table on one weekend, and parlay your winnings all the way to the top.

Of course, a few key moneyline bets, when you pick the dawg to win outright will help too.

Or if the Chiefs don't blow an 18 point lead at home.

When is the cutoff for signing up? I'm number 45 so far, and I don't want to get bumped.

Here's the deal. I had 56 players last year and all 56 of them can play again this year. If only 50 of those 56 sign up, then that's it. Nobody from the waiting list will get in.

I hate to be so strict about this, but last year I added players at the last moment and there were still people bitching that I was being unfair, without taking into consideration the amount of time I put into this. Therefore, I will be much stricter about it this year. Sorry.
