Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

Watching some Arkansas highlights and man I'm so impressed with Cobi Hamilton.

I want this guy in the 2nd. Geno and Hamilton would be a deadly combo. He has excellent speed and separation.

Would be a great go to guy.

Id like to just get Geno and Stedman Bailey. Already have a good relationship and the guy finds the endzone.

Even as good as Bailey and Austin were in college I want nothing to do with them in the NFL.

How many 5'9 170lb WRs need to bust in a KC uniform before we stop ****ing drafting them?

Gimme DeAndre Hopkins or Cordarrelle Patterson in the 2nd.

Id kind of agree if you werent talking about mccluster. Guy was claimed as one of those tweener types without a role. Was a rb in college and having a hard time converting. Where as stedman has been a solid wr for years and has great hands. It would just be nice to have someone to come along to help the transition for Geno. Bailey is his safety blanket just like bowe is cassels.

Then last year we supposedly drafted his replacement in Wylie and he's useless aswell.

I don't know heights of all the receivers off the top of my head but is there another receiver outside of DeSean Jackson that is around 5'9 170 worth a damn in the NFL? And Jackson really isn't that good, he's a 1 trick pony.

Steve Smith and Wes welker just off the top of my head. You're right about Wiley forgot about him. Think he was drafted more as a replacement to Javier on kick returns though and not wr . Even though for some reason we choose to trot draughn out there to return kicks.

No he's not. DeSean runs every route, and he's a damn good blocker down the field.

If you're talking about pure height, Desean Jackson, Percy Harvin, Steve Smith, Randall Cobb, Davonne Bess, Lance Moore. Plenty of good short receivers.

I don't know the answer on McCluster or Wylie. McCluster worries me with his ball protection and running deep routes on the tree. But we just don't know what we have in these guys until we get a real scheme in place. McCluster started to look much better when Orton was QB, because Orton actually loosened up the defense, spread the ball around, and actually went through progressions to spot an underneath route.

Both these guys are only valuable if they can slip underneath the coverage and get YAC. When the defense is stacking the line and playing 15 yards in, there's nothing to slip underneath.

This is also a great point. We really don't no for certain what we have in the receiving game without a capable QB

This has been debunked. Please, please stop saying it. And he doesn't play RB anymore, anyway.

Steadman Bailey is 5-foot-10 and 195 pounds. He's got three inches and 30 pounds on Buster McMidget. DO NOT COMPARE.
