2013 NFL Sunday Ticket + Alternatives
I know we had this thread last year, but things change every year so I thought I'd post this.

I've been with DirecTV for about 6 years now for the Ticket, but I can't afford it anymore. So I thought I'd see what things we learn as we negotiate, work around the Ticket, and find ways to watch our Chiefs games out of market as affordable as possible.

I know there's a promotion with Madden 25. What else is there this year?

For the cord cutters, NFL Game Pass is $129 for the preseason + regular season using either a VPN or Smart DNS. It's about as close to legal (though still in the grey area) as you can get without cable.

It depends on the CSR. I don't even attempt if it's a guy. If it's a guy I hang up and try until I get a girl. Girls are easier to work with because generally they're nicer.

I've had some luck with this. Call and ask for the retention department. Tell them you are considering canceling Sunday Ticket this year. They generally will work with you on at least a deal

Although, I can't remember Ticket being as cheap as it is this year? $160 for the whole season for regular Ticket. I have a Slingbox(highly recommended)so I don't need Max. Might just save my bargaining for Extra Innings next season.

Yeah me neither. Well I got it free one other time after they had majorly ****ed up on billing me. I think it's a lot easier to get Sunday Ticket Max free but you still pay for regular Ticket. They just eat the additional $10 a payment. That happened to me last year.

Is it really only $160? It's damn near $300 last year and I told them I wasn't paying it so I got a 50% off discount.
