Drafting questions
So...

I'm in 2 leagues - one of which I'm one of 2 new owners, so I'm drafting 11th.

The other, I scored the highest total of points, yet finished last in the league.

I'm very content with my strategy for the league I'm drafting 1st in. I've done several practice mocks on CBS, Yahoo and ESPN and have been happy with the results each time. I usually end up with AP, Jennings, Colston, Addai and Schaub in my first 5 picks.

My concern is in the other draft. I've yet to find a strategy that seems to give decent results.

I've tried going WR/WR, only to get stuck with starting RB's like Addai, Parker or LJ at #35/#38 - which is a huge reach, IMO.

I've tried going WR/RB, getting either A. Johnson/Moss/Fitz and Brandon Jacobs, only to get one of the above RB's and a mediocre #2 WR (OchoCinco, Berrian, Bowe)

I've even thought of taking Moss at 11, then taking Brady at 14 if he's there for the "double points" but then I'm back to screwed at RB, and I get an even worse #2 WR. But if Brady has an even average year for him, he and Moss may be enough to make up for it.

Thoughts?

Not to hijack your thread.....but what are the addresses for your practice mocks on CBS and Yahoo? I know about the one on ESPN but it's blocked at work.

Oh....and I would probably go WR/RB. At least that way you have Fitz and Jacobs....

Back to your OP, you think almost everyone is going to go RB up to #11? Guys like Johnson and Slaton will be off the board?

As we discussed in another thread, I think the QBs will get overvalued, causing a legit RB to drop to you, and since it's not a PPR league, I'd be going best RB/WR combo no matter what, and you'd still be in great position to get a top WR in round 2.
