Sleigh Bells
Sleigh Bells new album Bitter Rivals drops October 8th. After I saw them on a best new artists list a couple a years ago I began to sample their stuff. Often categorized as Noise Pop, their stuff is largely the product of drum machines, heavily processed, looping guitar riffs, and airy, girlish female vocals.
This 41 year old Okie has a lot of Sleigh bells on his play list. I also noticed that the commercial for the new iPhone 5c features the song Rill Rill (recorded 4 years ago) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2agk_5mT5L8 doesn't hurt that the singer Alexis Krauss is cute |

NewChief posted one of their songs here when their first album was making the rounds in his high school hipster circles. I think it was the song "Kids". I liked it so I went out and got the album, which has a lot of good music on it. I haven't heard any of their newer stuff though.
My daughters liked it and we ended up buying tickets to a concert here in KC to see them a couple of Christmas's ago, but they canceled and we got Cage the Elephant instead. I like CtE, but they weren't very good live that night.

I listened to the hell out of Treats. Didn't listen to Reign of Terror as much. I'll definitely give this new one a spin or 10, though.
