I think playing in the inaugural game is pretty cool for KSU, actually.

Additionally, this should open up the fertile NY recruiting area. Ok, ok...

Quite possibly the NCAA wants to kill this bowl game. And with the huge anchor KSU is, they are hoping it drags it into oblivion. Like what happened to KU.

Well, it's a bowl, so it's a reward for the players, as well as getting some extra practice time in as well.

Still would liked a bowl in either FL or Texas.

All seriousness, though, new bowl game, literally, and a vacation in NY around New Year's? If I were a Cat fan, this would be a pretty enticing trip.

Hotels are 500+ a night around that time. Flights aren't cheap. It won't be a good showing for KSU fans.

eh, it's not THAT bad. Using expedia I found several livable options for around $600pp for either a 2 or 3 night stay. I bet you'd spend close to that pp though for cabs, food, and sightseeing, so overall you're in the $2500-3000 range easy, and I'd much rather spend a week in Mexico.

The bowl tix are spendy though, which is ridiculous for that level.
