Better opt for KZ2 for max value then. You can get LBP fairly reasonably priced these days and MLB will drop drastically in the next 6 months.

Maybe TinyEvel or someone else can help me out here. Over the weekend my PS3 stopped playing blu rays. It will still play games but I load in a blu ray and I just get a blank screen. I'm afraid the laser may be f'd. Maybe it's some other issue. It happened when I brought it home to play on my parents' plasma, but I have used it on that tv before without incident. Any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated.

Hmmm. The only problem I've heard of with movie playing is the disc spinner stopped on my friend's.

So, you get THE XMB and when you put a BR in, the disc icon appears on the Nav bar, you can select it but then the screen is blank. Nothing happens.

Does it play DVDs?

Reason I ask is, you can play games, which are on BR discs. So, I don't see why it wouldn't play movies.

Yeah, the disk icon appears and it autolaunches into the movie, but then nothing happens. It is weird that I put in a couple games that are obviously on BR discs and they worked. I tried one normal dvd and it didn't work either.

I'm going to try setting my PS3 back up in my home theater and see if the problem was something weird with the setup at my parents' place.

Yeah, if that doesn't work, reinstall the system update. You can do this from the XMB menu, I think under updates.
