I'm not afraid of heights but my butt would be puckered tighter than a sheet of 1" steel up there.

I used to climb towers, but nothing over 200'. My buddy would safety himself on the outside of the towers, lean back and take a nap on our lunch breaks. He'd be swaying in the wind and snoring.

I feel a lot better watching these videos now knowing that they have parachutes.

I've worked off stages and repelled.
I'd be more scared from 60 feet. A fall from 1700 is just a fun ride a painless smack. Don't have to worry about driving a wheelchair with your mouth. |

My Dad used to do that for a living - he worked on an FMP (field maintainance party) for the FAA. Climbed their radio and microwave towers, kept 'em up and working. I didn't permanently inherit his abilities. When I was young I liked climbing stuff like this, but I developed vertigo in my 50's and that was the end of that.
Climbing those towers kept Pop 'strong like bull'. It never paid to arm wrestle him or his co-workers.
