In Hindsight....

Lets see,
1. Super easy schedule last year
2. Barely won most of the games they did win
3. Super tough schedule this year
4. Lost the two guys in the middle of the D and replaced with guy that is 34 yo
5. Lost promising TE and big part of the offense from last year in preseason
6. Lost defensive leader and probowl safey for the season
7. Lost offensive coordinator from last year
We shoulda seen this result coming. Now, add in Charles lost for the year as well, and if there is anyone left that thinks this team will even be slightly competitive, you are stoned. Look at the above. Other than losing Berry for the season, everything else was before the first real game of the season. We should have known this was gonna be a lost season.

Most of us knew this would be an 8-8 team that would struggle. NOBODY could've anticipated it being this bad.

It's not even so much the losing as it is being blown out by non-elite teams.

This. Most of us thought Buffalo would be tough. Most of us thought Detroit would be tough.

No one expected to be blown out two weeks in a row. Make it 3 weeks in a row with SD up next.

This....

I was homering for an 11-5 team, praying that we would be at least 8-8, now crying that 5-11 would be considered a season saving record..

1-2 wins is all I can HOPE for at this moment.....

It really is...

When you get blown out and loose 3 of your top 5 best players it makes it hard to see where that win comes from.

Maybe INDY. But even then I can see Kerry Collins lighting us up.

I guess we can probably pull one out against Denver.

Indy & Denver. Those are our two wins. 3 against Minny if you're feeling lucky.

8. $30 MILLION CAP SPACE left - NO quality depth...

# 4 on your list was within the Chiefs control, and they thought they made an upgrade.

A lot of people knew this team wasn't prepared for the season based on their training camp/preseason regiment.

It's just preseason dude. Ask Zach... there's no correlation....

It went way beyond that. However, anyone that was willing to look could see it. This team looks just as inept as the group we saw during the preseason. Record doesn't matter, but preparation and talent evaluation / acquisition sure does.

You won't beat Denver. We can stop power backs, its just the speed guys we have trouble with. McClain and Thomas Jones won't be able to run all over us. And Denver will be expecting your cute little 3rd and long draw to McCluster.
